The first trend that I want to talk to you about is the skin that has that glow-from-within radiance. It’s a no-makeup makeup look that people are going crazy over.
A Look Back at Full Coverage Makeup
Back in, we were really stuck in like, do you remember that? Full coverage, makeup, super bold brows, big eyes. It was everywhere. And the fuller the coverage, the better we thought the foundation was. Just to illustrate this point, in August of when I had just started my blog, I even made a whole article about the world’s most full coverage foundation, which was the Juvia’s Place Foundation at the time. It was a foundation that was going viral everywhere, and everyone was talking about it because a full coverage super matte finish was the goal. If you could see any remnants of skin, it wasn’t full coverage enough. We literally couldn’t be further from that.

Recommended Products for Radiant Skin
Because of this, people are currently loving these types of products. So let me talk a little bit about some of the products that I’ve used that do a really good job of achieving the skin goal. I’ll go through these products in order from the most sheer to the most full coverage because sometimes we want to execute that look, but we still need a little bit of coverage. Okay? I’m going to get to those products.
Sunscreen with a Radiant Finish
The first one is a sunscreen that I’ve mentioned a bunch of times in the article because I love it. I use it every day, either on its own or under foundation. This sunscreen has an SPF of. The formulation has a bit of like an iridescence to it. You can get it in a few different shades. You can get it in sunrise, dawn, golden hour, and sunset. And it works as a skincare product, a sunscreen, a primer under foundation, or even a very sheer coverage tinted moisturizer. It’s great.
Luminous Serum for Hydrated Skin
Another product that I love is the serum. This product has a gel texture to it, and it’s made up of. It really is very good for keeping the skin looking hydrated. It has a bit of like a cooling effect to it. It’s a very refreshing product. I bought a color that was a little bit darker than my actual skin so that I could get like a tanned glow from it. And let me tell you, it delivered. It is not the most inexpensive product in the world, but it really does what it’s intended to do extremely well. And I haven’t really seen or used anything quite like it. It gives you beautiful, luminous, completely natural-looking skin that stays looking that way for the whole entire day. It’s a cool product. If you want something like this, invest in it because it will give you what you want. It does deliver those results.
Medium Coverage Foundation for a Natural Radiant Look
Now, if you’re looking for a foundation that provides a little bit more coverage, then this next product might be for you. This foundation has a medium buildable coverage with a natural, radiant finish to it. It looks absolutely amazing on everyone. It’s a drugstore brand that sits at a great price point. It gives that skin-like finish, but it does have more coverage since it is a foundation. It’s affordable. It’s great. It’s one of my favorite medium-to-light coverage foundations of the season, for sure.
Full Coverage with a Luminous Finish
And finally, if you’re the type of person that wants that no-makeup makeup look but you do need more coverage for whatever reason, right? You just need more coverage, then you may love this next product. This is the ITCosmetics CC cream. It has an SPF of built right into it. And even though it is a CC cream, it actually does have full coverage, but not in that flat matte way that we were doing it in the past. It gives a skin-like finish with that added bonus of blurring imperfections. So your skin still looks like skin. It’s still very luminous, but it does cover. It really does. In my makeup kit, on my clients, I use the original one, but there are actually a few different variations of this product now. There is a CC nude glow, which has lower coverage than the original with the addition of a brightening glow serum. There’s also the CC cream illumination, which is like the original and that it’s full coverage but has that glow to it as well. And then there is the matte version, which is the same full coverage as the original, but just more matte. I haven’t tried any of the other ones. I want to be honest. I haven’t tried those other ones. I’ve only tried the original formulation. But even without the illumination serum, I find the original to be very luminous and very skin-like.
Perfect Product for Mature Aging Skin
If you read a lot about mature aging skin makeup tips and tricks, this foundation comes up time and time and time and time again. It gives you coverage without looking heavy or cakey. You still get that luminosity and all of that stuff. And you get the coverage, which is so nice, right? Luminosity with coverage. It’s kind of that perfect product for that.
Bright Eyes Trend: Light and Spotlighted
The next trend I want to talk to you about is bright eyes that are light in tone and spotlighted on the lid. They are huge right now, and they go so well with this overall fresh aesthetic that we have going on. Before I show you how to do it, I just want to mention that I use a shimmery shadow on my mom, who’s in her sixties, in this video, and on my client, Monica, who’s in her mid-fifties, in this article. They’re both wearing spot highlighted eye looks and it looks amazing on both of them, right? It looks amazing on both of them. So don’t fall into those set of rules. You can still do this look.
How to Achieve the Bright Eyes Look
So, for this look to work, you want to start with some type of tacky base product. I really love using the MAC Paint Pot for this type of look. The next step is super easy. All you have to do is take your finger, dip it into any light shimmery shadow, and press that shimmer onto the eyelids.
Customizing Your Eye Makeup Trends
Now, the color that you choose for the lids is completely up to you, but just know that you can cocktail colors to create different effects. Sometimes I start with a golden tone and then I dab a bright vanilla on top of it to spot highlight it. Sometimes I’ll mix pink tones by layering one on top of the other. The options really are endless.
Recommended Palettes for Bright Eyes
A palette that I really recommend getting for this is the Tartelette in Bloom. It is a very versatile palette because you have your crease shades, you have your lid shades, and you have some deeper tones in case you want to start smoking things out. It’s very easy to create a lot of different looks with this, and it suits so many different skin tones. A smaller palette that’s also really nice for daytime looks is the Too Faced Natural Eyes because you get three neutral shimmer tones that are very pretty and wearable. If you prefer soft pinks instead of browns, my favorite palette for that is the Urban Decay Naked Cherry. That palette has a beautiful assortment of cooler tone pinks and purples. It works really, really well on lighter tones of skin.
